Skylark Meadows Ranch is based on an idea of place. The illustration at the right came to me years ago, when I was working as a quilt artist and living in a 20' x 20' cinderblock apartment. I was pretty taken with the sense of place it conveyed, and worked it as an embroidered piece a few years later. In truth, I believe the idea sprang from a longing in my soul, and someday, when we find this place, I will experience a new sense of home.
We raise fine quality Suri alpacas. The fleece of Suris was used to clothe ancient kings, and remains the ultimate natural fiber . As we contine to grow our herd, we focus on excellent conformation, with fleeces exhibiting superior luster, exceptional locking, and low micron fineness.
When we were looking to marry, we wanted rings that spoke of the peaceful and gentle Suris. I worked with several talented jewelry designers, and now we are pleased to offer exquisite hand-carved jewelry for the discerning suri alpaca lover. Thank you for visiting, and we wish you Blue Skies!
